Metropolis: Reflections
At the close of the IBA inaugural year in 2007, some 400 local residents met for the 1st IBA FORUM Metropolises: Reflections to discuss the three key themes of the IBA with national and international experts and academics and talk about the role of international building exhibitions in the 21st century.

Civil Society
The FORUM 2012 focussed on various forms of activity undertaken by committed members of civil society, the opportunities they offer and their effects on the future of cities.

IBA FORUM 2010
Mid-term results
2010 was the year IBA Hamburg staged its interim presentation. Around 600 residents, members of advocacy groups, politicians, journalists, international experts and IBA representatives gathered to discuss the “mid-term results” and talk about IBA themes, look at strategies, draw conclusions and offer suggestions for the “second half”.
