Learning by Doing (PraxisLernen)

The Education Centre Stübenhofer Weg is part of the IBA „Elbe Island Education Drive“ project and is being accompanied the “core group” in the district of Kirchdorf in the framework of the IBA. The systematic networking of the existing education and consultation facilities is taking place in the elementary and district school Stübenhofer Weg, a place where the theme „Learning by Doing“ is actually practised.

Learning with your head, heart and hands

Learning can be accomplished in different ways, by reading, by listening and in the course of practical activities.

Schools, youth welfare and qualifying institutions in Kirchdorf and Kirchdorf South have joined to form a network (learning by doing) for the further development of school lessons and education. Learning by doing real tasks will be turned into a regular offer for all pupils and visitors to youth welfare facilities in the participating schools and institutions. An opportunity for production-oriented, practical education will be available from the first school class onwards.
