Subregions and Projects
In order to put the strategy of systematic networking of all educational, advisory and training facilities on location into concrete practice, specific focal-point subjects (profiles) have been developed in the so-called "subregions" of Veddel, Reiherstieg and Kirchdorf. Within the framework of the Education Drive, plans are currently being made for a wide variety of projects, five of them even including specific new buildings. These educational centres are intended to become new places of learning in and for the entire region. All the projects were conceptually developed on location by the local participants in the so-called local core and expert groups and in workshops of all facilities in a comprehensive participatory process and promoted with the support of all specialised authorities, the district and the IBA:
