A Language and Excercise Centre is being created right in the middle of the Reiherstieg district, at the Rotenhäuser Damm. Here is where children, parents and other residents can learn German and other languages "in motion."


The Language and Excercise Centre serves the further development of diverse forms of cooperation and the networking of the educational institutions involved with the subject of speech and movement. Whoever exercises a lot learns more and better. There should be a large variety of offerings for sport and movement, continued education and new kinds of learning. Eleven different educational facilities have so far joined forces for this. The Language and Excercise Centre should be opened in 2012. It will include a large double sport hall, movement rooms, seminar rooms with a library and a café.

The core group will assume the function of controlling contents of the Elbe Islands Education Drive in the Reiherstieg district.
The core group is composed of representatives of different facilities of Reiherstieg.
